Before the submission
Because you want to contribute to the success of such open and ethical journals. Further arguments are given here.
The editorial board applies high international standards in every mathematical domain, based on the first submissions received, many of which are very strong.
The name Henri Lebesgue comes from the Henri Lebesgue Center that initiated the creation of the journal and continues to actively support it.
No.
Survey papers will be considered for publication if they are original and particularly well written.
Submission
In English and in French.
The AHL aims to select the most beautiful mathematical results through a rigorous and rapid editorial procedure. If preliminary reports are favourable (to be notified within a month of submission), the journal aims to obtain a full report within five months of submission. The final decision is taken collectively by the Editor in Chief and at least two other editors.
After acceptance, you have to send your LaTeX source file(s) to the journal. In order to reduce our workload, we encourage you to use the AHL format provided by the cedram class, but this is not mandatory.
Yes, this journal is intended to be really generalist. Every topic in pure and applied mathematics is welcome!
Yes, it is possible: more files can be attached after your submission is completed by editing the submission.
Publication
Yes.
No, authors keep the intellectual property of their work. The articles are published under a generic Creative Common BY SA License.
Because this is a brand new journal, it cannot be indexed by MathSciNet or ZentralBlatt yet. We will do our best to be indexed as soon as possible.
The final version of the article is sent by email to the authors but no paper reprints are issued.
Organisation
Yes! Once accepted and edited, articles are freely accessible on the website of the journal. There are no charges for authors.
The editorial board is organized in three large mathematical areas, namely Algebra and Geometry, Analysis, and Probability and Statistics, so as to facilitate the submission and editorial process. However, this is flexible: we welcome interdisciplinary contributions!
The running costs of the journal are supported jointly by the CHL, the CNRS (Mersenne/Univ. Grenoble Alpes), and the laboratories IRMAR, LAREMA, LMBA, LMLJ.
For now, the best you can do for the journal is intensive publicity. Spread the news to all your colleagues and convince them to submit their best papers to the Annales Henri Lebesgue. Some useful publicity material can be found here.
We maintain a newsletter on which summaries of new publications are posted regularly. Please visit this page to view the latest messages and to subscribe to the newsletter.
All administrative documents are kept for two years from the final publication date, after which they are deleted automatically. Articles (pdf and LaTeX) are kept indefinitely (thanks to the excellent Numdam project).

No. We only use a session cookie whilst you are logged into the website; this expires as soon as you log out. If you do not log out, it expires when you close your browser, unless you checked the box "Keep me logged in" or were logged in automatically, in which case it expires within one year.
The logo on the home page undergoes some beautiful mathematical dynamics, but only on that page when you are inactive; we don't want you to be distracted whilst you are submitting your best papers!
